Who is the Flat Fee Team?

The Flat Fee Team with eXp Realty is operated by local realtor, Laura Caron. Laura is a firm believer in the flat fee fee structure while also combining this model with outstanding customer service, experience and marketing tools.

Is the Flat Fee Team considered a discount brokerage?

Not at all. We provide full fiduciary service to our clients. Many think that because our price is lower our services are lower. That is simply not the case. You get the same service you would expect from any other traditional full commission agent. We believe that discounting your cost and discounting your value are two totally different things. We create something that we call ‘Value Innovation’. We’re often asked “how do we create value for people if we don’t charge a full 3% to list my home,” or “if we don’t charge 3% on the seller’s side, are we considered a ‘discount brokerage’?” Our goal is to 1. Eliminate or reduce our costs for our clients, and 2. Raise or increase the value we provide for them. So, whenever we reduce or eliminate commission fees, this automatically increases the value we provide, and gives them the opportunity to retain as much of their home equity as possible.

Can the Flat Fee Team help me buy a home too?

Of course! Many of our sellers will hire us to help them find their new home. We greatly appreciate this and it is part of what helps us to be able to offer our comprehensive listing service at a reduced flat fee. As a buyer, you do not pay us anything for letting us find your next home. We would love to help! Are you a local firm?

While eXp Realty is based on the west coast, our agents work in the “cloud” where we can access all the training, tools, marketing and transaction support we need from wherever we may be. Can you just list my home in MLS and let me handle the rest?

We get this question often. While we offered a limited service when we first started, this is no longer something we offer. We discovered that buyers agents do not like having to track down and work directly with a seller who is not trained to handle contracts and sort out details in often complex transactions. It is for this reason sellers doing a For Sale By Owner often do not have success in selling. If this is the service you are seeking, you will not have trouble finding it. All of our listings are “Full Service”.

Will other agents show your listings?

If you are also selling a home through us, you will pay us a flat fee of $7,000 or $10,000 (dependent on the services you choose) for representing you on the listing side. This will certainly save you thousands of dollars. You will still need to offer a commission to a buyers agent. Buyers determine which homes they would like to tour, the buyer's real estate agent does not have control this.

My friend told me I need to hire a big firm to get my house sold?

I love when I hear this one! There are many great companies and hundreds of great agents serving this market. Each agent within any firm has a different level of experience and a different approach to marketing and customer service. You may contact ABC Realty and be blessed to have a great experience with their top agent. You may also call this same firm and get terrible service from an inexperienced agent new to the industry. We all use the exact same MLS platform as the main tool to market your home. eXp Realty - The Flat Fee Team also provides numerous other tools to help you sell quickly. Our results speak for themselves. It comes down to finding an agent you trust and who has the experience to do the job for you. That may or may not end up being us.
